Review
The brilliant debut album with the, by now iconic, black and white cover art, that is (should be) in every serious record collectors, every classic rock fan and indeed a must own for proggers old and new´s collection !!

Not only is the cover art iconic, the music herein as well!! It is every Hammond organ (by Matthew Fisher) freaks dream of an album, the unmistakeable and powerful vocals of Gary Brooker, the ever present guitars of Robin Trower (yes it is he!) the weird, wonderful and sometimes strange lyrics by Keith reid...it holds many (by now) classic Procol tunes such as : Conquistador/ She Wandered Through the Garden Fence/ Good Captain Clack/ Cerdes to name a few and here as a bonus track..their greatest : A Whiter Shade of Pale...(seem to remember that this track originally was on my vinyl album way back ?!).

Nevermind this remaster comes with 4 bonus track in all.....also including: Homburg (as with Whiter shade of.....both single a-sides and yes you guessed it..the final bonus tracks are the 2 b-sides.

It really is a must own and as the original vinyl album noted: "To be listened to in the spirit in which it was made" a sentence repeated here on this fine cd remaster.

Another nice detail is the way that Esoteric have incorporated the original Regal Zonophone disc label design on the cd..of course with the ER logo and info!

Let me just mention that Robin Trower´s guitars were good then...humble beginnings, as opposed to now, he has grown (for many years now) into a master guitar performer in his own right and with a very unique style!!

GO BUY!!!
