Review
An unbelievably atmospheric, beautifully constructed and wonderfully diverse album from the band known as "Lesoir'" which was recorded at the legendary Sawmills Studio in Cornwall. The whole affair is a veritable sonic mixture of layered keyboard textures and spirited guitar patterns fronted exquisitely by an angelic dual female vocal pairing. The format is very much that of the later day neo-progressive style in the mold of "Riverside" and "Gazpacho" that is to say well considered harmonious compositions which ebb and flow gradually building up to skillfully arranged crescendo's and then which slide peacefully away before once again reforming. The gorgeously clear and meticulous vocal arrangements are delivered with grace and style and in quite convoluted fashion the harmonies intertwine amongst sumptuous variations of instrumental backings which include both standard rock, oddly treated guitar configurations and explosions of heavier metallic riffing's. Interesting too are the dainty piano chord sequences and other keyboard embellishments providing a veritable carpet of sound. Further enhancements to the overall musical structure both terms of pace and time signature are unified by the dramatic and energetic percussive department adding both depth, colour and stability to the proceedings.

It is certainly not possible to fully appreciate the depth and beauty of this album on first play. There is far too much involvement within the compositional make up and particularly the complexity of how the various instruments interact with each other and how they change face as each segment of music moves forward throughout the various phase stages of each multi-layered track arrangement. There are too, with each subsequent play, further discoveries to make especially the subtle dynamic variations in musical stylings performed by the band over each of the thirteen tracks and particularly the specific relationships between the vocals and instrumental passages. A nice album to have in your own personal music collection.

Summary: An extremely interesting and beautifully constructed album with magnificent female vocals and solid modern day neo progressive musicianship.
