Il Tempio Delle Clessidre - Il-Lúdére

As with many of their peers this fine Italian progband sing in their native language/tongue. These guys are into a heavier tinged prog realm and they are doing a very good job at that!

When I say heavier, it doesn´t mean that this fine outing is filled with screaming guitars and thundering drums etc...the contents herein are more in the vein of the 70´hard prog and also very varied in tempo and time signatures and yes it also holds softer sequences of beauty and laid back themes. After quite a few spins this album (and band) have become somewhat a favorite on my cd player! As mentioned in some of the former reviews I do not speak Italian, bar a few words, but I really like the language and I find it very suiting to the music...well I guess through time the Italian language have had an impact on listeners from classical music, to pop and to the great Italian period dominating prog music especially in the 70´ through to the 80´ !! The musicianship here is excellent and has real feel and sometimes theatrical drama within´ the compositions and delivery !

it really is a classic line-up musician wise..a five piece, four guys and a gal. A fine release indeed and I urge you to give it a spin..you might be pleasantly surprised !

The cover art remind me of those " fill in the colors yourself books", doesn´t really do justice to the music !!
