This is not prog, this is classic rock in the vein of say Black Country Communion or Bedlam (The UK band) and as these great bands, Vitruvian Man have the classic line up: Lead guitar, Bass& keys, Drums and singer. These guys play well and deliver the goods, mind you not much new under the sun, still a solid classic rock album! With the brilliant and always evident lead guitars of Glenn Kirkwood, the excellent foundation of Bass & drums from Glovasa & Stone, keeping things tight, lead singer Dan Swan has a commanding voice, which he uses to the max, he creates soothing moods in the quieter moments and let go in the heavier sequences, to good effect, he is a brilliant singer! So, whats my complaint? Nothing, this is a fine Classic rock album and for me it is a keeper! Just don't expect long epic tracks with waves of keyboards and dreamy guitar. This is right on, in your face, rock music as "mother" used to make it!
My fav. Track? Here goes: "Nightmare In Her Hand" / "As It Falls" / "Every Dog Will Have Its Day" . If you like and love classic rock like me, then this is very well worth your attention!
