This is quite jazzy, I guess you could call it progressive but not in the sense of this sites typical reviews! Actually I find this music quite nice, but not my favourite choice of listening stuff! Sure I can hear the prof instrumental delivery, it is just that I don't really like jazz stuff that much. Strandberg´s bass playing really is amazing and his fellow musicians are great! Elina´s vocal are just fine and the overall thought of this is I like it!

When Elina´s vocals rules there is a connection to the world we (the prog unity) like, but this outing doesn't really come with thundering guitars and power chords, it comes with well composed and complex jazzy thematic sequences, that is far from our world! Fact is I don't really think I am equipped to review this album (Would you have a rap reviewer, review the new Tangent album?) Although " A Leap Into The Unknown" have quite some prog tendencies, with excellent guitars (superb soloing) and thundering bass/drums basement! Fine track!! " Paidarion" with the acoustic guitar intro and female vocals..really has a smooth beginning..leading to an uptight section with sax/keyboard ridden theme, fine stuff!

So not as much my kind of music pleasure, still there are friends and fans of this kind of Jazz/ progressive music out there!

To those I am inclined to say, check this band out, you might be in for a pleasant surprise! Me? I will stay with my original choice of music!

SO dear music friend, go for what you like, each to his own!!
