Review
This is my first encounter with FFB and they play good "old" blues rock in the classic tradition (that's a good thing in my book!) think: Allman Bros/ Juicy Lucy/ Gov´t Mule, to name a few. Yes these are US names, still this band hails from UK. I had a brief dialogue with Frank where he proudly announced that one of his favorite bands is MAN (the Welsh masters) that hit a positive note with me, since I also like (understatement) MAN. One can surely hear that connection I FFB, maybe not that much in musical expression, but certainly in band line up and the often long sequences, the twin guitar duels and long dwelling tracks that builds to a climax!! When hearing this fine band I really feel like I vent back in time (meant in the most possible positive way) call me old fashioned, but I really like it!! They dont make´m like this anymore, was my immediate thought, obviously some still do and what a joy it is!! If you agreed with me on the above sentences, then this album most certainly will thrill you and I strongly recommend that you give these fine musicians and this album a chance!! I for one will cherish my copy and it goes into my private collection! Afterthought ....I really would like to hear the former 2 albums by FFB !! Meanwhile I am contend with what REMAINS (pardon the pun) ....some 73 minutes of great music, bring out the cold beers and lets hear it again...LOUD!!
