Review
Leader and founder of this Danish fusion/prog band is multitalented Robin Taylor : Composer, arranger, producer and guitar, bass, keyboard player etc.

Now honestly, I havent always liked what I heard from these talented 7 muscians, which doesnt mean that they are bad, not at all, it simply means that they didnt reach me at the, so to speak point of entry!!

But this album, which according to the written cover notes, is a "selection of highlights from their later repertoire- here in altered 2015 versions re-arranged- partly re-recorded, remixed and remastered!

You know what? I really really like it...it is more..how do I put it? More up my alley!!

Also it is a fine intro to the world of Taylor´s Universe´s music!

For friends of Danish early prog you will notice hints of Burnin´ Red Ivanhoe in some brief themes and sequences and also a dash of Secret Oyster here and there! Thats meant as a compliment!!

But Taylors Universe are so much more than that, they surely have their own agenda music wise, playing delivered very excellent and a very good production.

So ladies and gentlemen, friends of jazzy/fusion/prog like instrumental music, this might just be for you!? I urge you to give them a try..you might like what you hear.

I love the drama and variation of "Firestone" with especially excellent keyboard & guitar play!

I like the fine minimoog intro to the excellent " Fame" this tune also holds two guitar solo´s (left and right channel) from John Sund and Frank Carvalho (some of you might know him from Danish symphonic progband ETC !??) a really like that "crawling" feel the music on this tune has...its intriguing and creepy at the same time!

So dear Robin, I dont know if you caught me on the "wrong foot" way back or it is indeed your new re-mastering and or re-arranging of your music that hits me now?!

Bottomline is..I really love this album!!

If you guys/gals follow this particular musical road this album laid out, then you should be able to be a great fusion/prog band in and I do mean in worldwide prog circuits!

ACROSS THE UNIVERSE...sure!! Great stuff!
