Review
This fine band with the 2 main figures/muscians : Doug Bowers-Vocals, Guitars, Keyboards,Drum programming and percussion and: Christopher Flynn- 12 and 6 string acoustic/electric Guitars, backing and harmony vocals. Backed by 4 musical friends and this fine little album, has some quite nice things to offer...atmosphere, great tunes, some fine production and instrumentation !

Soundwise it is a mix between classic rock (A la Trillion & Trickster) and Prog music, not that groundbreaking mind you, but still it has some strange magic to it!!

This is under the moniker Christian Rock, nothing wrong with that as long as it is not overly

"holyer that thou preaching" and there are great musical sequences to be had here.

One critic point would be the drums, which to these trained ears are to lame and/or tame!!

I love the keyboards throughout and there´s some nice guitar playing along the way!

My fav tracks here: "A Gift of Peace" / "Lament" (special mention to that guitar solo.)

I would love to hear more from these guys and if you are into said genrés-bands, then you should give them a chance.

By the way: AD ASTRA are latin for: To The Stars.
