Ah, finally a new album by keyboard wiz Pär Lindh, under the moniker Pär Lindh Project. For those of you who long for the days and music of ELP, Trace and/or Ekseption (to some extend) you are gonna love this album!! This trio, with maestro Lindh on Hammond organ, mellotron, synths, clavinet, church organ etc. / William Kopecky on bass extraordinaire and drummer, vocalist Al Lewis surely lives up to the album title. From the opening fanfare (very ELP)of the title track to the more complex excursions and time signatures on "Time Mirror" to the somewhat jolly tune " Waltz Street" (think ELP´s : "Hoedown" or "Benny The Bouncer") with the very harsh and rightly so, lyrics about the recession and bankers greed, excellent stuff!! " With Death Reconciled" is another complex tune, with twists and turns by this excellent trio and fine vocals by Al Lewis. This is a homage to lost loved ones and especially for their beloved singer Magdalena Berg whom passed away all too soon. Final track "Sky Door" really display the talent of these fine musicians, delivering the very complex and very well composed music with vigorously panache and joy! I for one love this kind and style of music, so it is a very welcome addition to my prog collection. Mind you this is NOT in any way a copy band, I was merely trying to guide/hint to their style of music. It is a great album recommended to all lovers of said genre and mentioned bands!! So what are you waiting for? Go out and buy it.
My only complaint is, that this outing is too short (se time) on the other hand, better quality than quantity, right?!
