Ligro hails from Indonesia (yes that's right) and this fine trio delivers fusion/jazzrock from the top shelf of the genre! The usual (I almost said, well I did didnt I?!) power trio line up..Guitar, bass and drums. Well to be honest, this have been heard so many many times before. Yes it is quite good, the delivery faultless and musicianship excellent, but... do the world of fusion need more of this stuff?! This is in the league of McLaughlin / Holdsworth and deserves equal praise, but I am just about stuffed with the endless (though brilliant and excellent musicians) outings of that particular genre of Fusion/jazz rock /prog!! I know these guys are extremely talented and their delivery faultless, but their power , genius and efforts really stays within that particular sphere that their musical world are surrounded by! So no matter how excellent, brilliant and superb they might be, to me it is becoming quite boring after so many listenings! I am not trying to be an asshole, I merely do not get it!! Some of you out there, whom love and like the genre, will of course lap it up and good for you! 2 stars it is, for professionalism and country of origin (very impressive).
Oh, truth be told, I very much enjoyed "Future" with the bluesy sequences !!
