Another Italian Symphonic prog band that is new to me; yes I know ...shame on me !! Still, there has to be a first time hasnt there ?! This band has some very wonderful ideas as to how you deliver perfect symphonic progmusic with grace, professionalism, surprise and power!! Opening the album "Kaze" with the sound of wind blowing with brief acoustic guitar and oriental sounding intro, then suddenly a powerful theme emerges, with excellent time changes seamlessly (after 4:15 minutes) going into track #2 "Sensa Colori" delivering some great twin leadguitar before a laid back voice (in native language of course) lead us on the way, which is paved by some very beautiful sequences, reminding this old reviewer of classic Italian prog bands. The music on this album is very complex, often grandiose with many time changes, tempo variations and style characters. Now I mentioned the obvious early Italian progbands inspiration, but one can certainly also hear brief hints to UK progbands here and there, still this is first and foremost Italian music with a capital I !! The musicians here are excellent and their delivery great, but I have to mention especially the wonderful keyboards and the guitars, both acoustic and electric! Oh and the keyboard soli sometimes (listen to the solo on : "Il Passo") reminds very much of mid period ELP and at other times like early King Crimson (mellotron will do that to you) listen to the opening of "Fino Alla Vetta" , which in its own right is a superb track, with some great E-Bow guitar lines and an ending chorus that has hookline potential , superb stuff!!
The rest of this fine album is for me to know and for you to find out! How do you like those terms?! Nevermind, this is a great release and anyone into fine Italian Prog music, will wanna own this album!! As always, I recommend several listenings of this and indeed any other prog album that might cross your way, before judging! Me? I love it and it goes straight into my private collection!! Enough said, make up your own mind!
