This release is the third from this fine Italian band (my first though) and they are very much in the great tradition of the late 70´progbands and or PFM (though not as complex). All tunes here are sung in their native tongue and that is really perfect and fine by me!! The six man line-up fits the bill with no less than three guitarists (electric and acoustic) a keyboard player (Mellotron, Hammond etc.) bass and drums. The music herein are well delivered and as mentioned very retro prog just as we like, well at least I do!! First track has some folk sequences blended with fine prog hints and vocal harmonies, mind you not your very elaborated harmonies, but harmonies nonetheless. Next up comes a tune that somehow has a Pink Floyd vibe about it, I cant really pinpoint what it is, but I immediately thought of Pink Floyd at their instrumental best, well at least the first half, the second part comes more across as PFM with Ian Anderson!! The rest of the album, really are up to you to find out and if you were at all intrigued by my former words, then you should most certainly give it a whirl!! There are not much new under the sun, but then again who wants that when talking about retro prog?!
