Daemonia from Italy, are an offspring from the famous Goblin (horror soundtrack masters) whose main figure/frontman: Claudio Simonelli (Keyboards) has assembled this fine quartet, in order to return to the crime scene, so to speak! With new takes on old compositions, where the original band played almost symphonic /orchestral soundtracks, this outfit have an almost heavy rock/jazz rock approach to the new renditions, well at least some of the way! I loved some of Goblins works, but this new band really does it for me, it kind of suits some of the cinematic pieces to be hammered out, even though it looses some of the eerie sequences of the former bands delivery! But hey, it is not heavy handed all the way , take track four " Torte In Faccia" which sounds more like the track Keith Emerson forgot on one of the early ELP albums!! But honestly a far cry from Goblin´s attitude and delivery and so what? I ask you, there really were no point in remaking the compositions like Goblins! I kinda like the new heavy approach, which by the way are very well delivered by all musicians involved!!

I am gonna keep this fine item in my collection (translated to: I really like this outing!) and yes I do have some Goblin in my collection as well! Same story two different versions, deal with it friends!! Any fan of Goblin really must be curious and you should, now go get it, why don't you?!
