Finally a live recording from No-Man and a fine one it is! It comes with both audio and video possibility, so a perfect package IMHO, a document of their sell outconcert at the Leamington Spa Assembly oct. 14 2011. With the core of duo Steven Wilson & Tim Bowness and other fine musicians, they go sporadic through their 20 years career plus one unreleased number "Beaten By Love".

For all lovers and friends of this fine duo (and band) you will know what to expect. To newcomers, this is fine tempered melodic music, original, beautiful at places, brutal at others, often with dark undertones and hold your breath sequences! I guess you could call it soft prog with a dash of folk thrown in ..just listen to "Wherever There Is Light" with that beautiful violin solo! Tim Bowness is a master of laid back vocals, almost reciting the words, but always with great feeling. Wilson and Bearpark delivers fine and dramatic (when needed) guitars, sometimes smooth as silk, next moment though sparse, razor sharp. As with their studio work, the songs creep up on you eventually, slowly entering your mind and aiming to stay there, simply great stuff!! A very unique band, with a very unique sound and now we know (if ever in doubt) that these guys delivers big time, live and in the flesh!! What a magic release!! The cd is great, but when you get the full picture (ahem) with the dvd this is really a perfect release no man should be without, so to speak the concert is shoot in clean sharp pictures held in blue ligth, with intervals of artistic ? noise in the frame which annoys me, but that's a minor negative with a superb release as this. I have only one thing left to say: This is a must own, a must buy, So read no more...you best be on your way to the local music store!!
