WOW, what a pleasant surprise to this old proghead, whom actually was in a prog midlife crisis...thinking: I have heard it all or most of it by now! Well big surprise, then along comes OFFWORLD and they kicked the shit out of my mentioned crisis or if you will downward spiral of "heard it all". These brilliant musicians hail from Belgium and if I were to describe their musical style..erh..that would be difficult. But let me put it this way: You have a bag..then put some Hawkwind/ some Fonya/ some early Gong/ some Ozric´s, then spice it up with plenty of powerchords, soaring lead guitars, odd vocal sequences and a mighty bit of musical talent! Shake, toss and rattle that bag and presto..it becomes the very magic mixed bag of tricks that is: OFFWORLD.

This album most definitely goes into my private collection!!

I have heard this album about 5-6 times now, even so..new musical doors open still opens for every spin! I cannot imagine why this brilliant band and album, wouldnt spread in prog circuits, like wildfire !! They certainly deserve the recognition and I for one would certainly love to see them performing this live!! Meanwhile Offworld guys, hats off to you, you put the happy smile back on this old prog geezers face !! Actually I found it a thrilling roller coaster ride, with twist and turns that made me push the repeat button again and again!!

Offworld is a trio originally, but they have invited guest´s and/ or musical friends!

Must rate high, however saving that last half star to the (hopefully) next album!

So dear friends, this is a must hear, let alone must buy! When you do, find your favorite chair, a beverage of your choice, lean back, press play on your remote and enjoy!!

All bands/artists and all moozik aficionados, if you have not joined Planet Of Prog on their fb page yet you might want to join them here too. They are unbiased, very honest sharing the music from the greats to the indie starting artists and what I love the most about them, there is no negativity (you'll not find any pompous selfrightous know it all full of know better and how sermons on their reviews) no matter who you are, all their reviews the bands are treated with utmost dignity even if the review is not most favorable, that review will be honest, not pompous and most in awe respectful of the artist's efforts. I love them, love this site. Join if you want to,I like them a lot!
