Hollow Water, originally a duo consisting of Alan Cookson on keyboards and Huw Roberts on guitars, later they included other musicians from Europe and USA, also vocalist Mark Lock.
This album reaches the 79 minute mark, with several interludes and breaks of narration which seems out of various radio stations! The music herein are straight in you face and with powerful production, not to mention the excellent music delivery, all with a self certain musical brilliance.
An instrumental Tour de Force album with some superb guitar from Huw, as a hole this album is very difficult to pinpoint, that is genré vise!! I hear both classic prog, new sentences musical vise. also some modern jazzy themes, since the guitar brilliance of Huw rules, but there are moments with horn sections that carries the tunes elsewhere in their musical landscape. Mind there are vocals other than said narrations and those too, works fine in this great release.
I have heard it several times by now and it really grows with every spin, so much so that i must say..yes here it comes: this album goes straight to my private collection!!
It comes with a fine booklet incl. lyrics, some great cover art and illustrations a la comic book drawings!!
I am going to keep and eye (and certainly an ear) on these guys in the future! They could (should) be huge..playing their cards (read: instruments) right.

Finally a new progband with imaginative musical vision, though still very old school in their expression and delivery! GOOD STUFF !! Must listen!!

All bands/artists and all moozik aficionados, if you have not joined Planet Of Prog on their fb page yet you might want to join them here too. They are unbiased, very honest sharing the music from the greats to the indie starting artists and what I love the most about them, there is no negativity (you'll not find any pompous selfrightous know it all full of know better and how sermons on their reviews) no matter who you are, all their reviews the bands are treated with utmost dignity even if the review is not most favorable, that review will be honest, not pompous and most in awe respectful of the artist's efforts. I love them, love this site. Join if you want to,I like them a lot!
