I was quite nervous, anxious when approaching this new album by the iconic and legendary progband VDGG. Turns out, I really didnt have to worry, Hammill, Evans and Banton are back and excellently so! You immediately acknowledge their special sound and approach, their special musical style and delivery! I love that iconic style from their original albums but this time, they also have the nerve to renew that special branch of progressive they are so well known for! Why is that, I hear you say ?! Yes well I detect some smoother and even pop like softer tunes, just listen to: "Alfa Berlina" and "Forever Falling"..to name a few, but hardcore fans need not fret, it is still very much the special quirky VDGG, we all know and love, with brilliant lyrics and of course Hammill´s special voice, diction and often more spoken word than actual singing!! Just as we have come to know them!

So a really fine new album from VDGG, friends and fans of this band will lap it up and be happy!! Newcomers might wanna go back chronological and start with their first albums!

For this old prog freak, this album is most certainly a must have and...yes you guessed it it goes straight to my private collection!!

The epic track here must be: "(Oh no! I Must Have Said) Yes" .

Also I must mention, this album grows with every spin and at my household, there have been many.

Welcome back VDGG....my long lost friend!!

That's what they say about us...

SoniaMota150

All bands/artists and all moozik aficionados, if you have not joined Planet Of Prog on their fb page yet you might want to join them here too. They are unbiased, very honest sharing the music from the greats to the indie starting artists and what I love the most about them, there is no negativity (you'll not find any pompous selfrightous know it all full of know better and how sermons on their reviews) no matter who you are, all their reviews the bands are treated with utmost dignity even if the review is not most favorable, that review will be honest, not pompous and most in awe respectful of the artist's efforts. I love them, love this site. Join if you want to,I like them a lot!
