This double cd release is a must own!! Not only is it a double cd release, it is also a double in musical content! Let me explain...on one side there are these fantastic often very complex instrumental excursions with ALL that friends of...say : Bozzio/Levin/Stevens - Platypus and the likes, will enjoy! But also some very pompous (meant in the most positive way) grand songs with superp vocals! On the other side, which is just as excellent, brings forth some very well composed songs that range from complex rock to beautiful popish tunes, I even detected some Beatles inspired tracks!

When reading the liner notes and the band line-up, it really is no surprise that this great double album comes so strong. Led by Alex Cora (Guitars, vocals, composer) and a band that really kicks a.. Derek Sherinian: Keyboards (Dream Theater, Platypus) Ginny Luke: Violin, vocals (Dave Matthews) Ric Fierabracci: Bass (Chick Corea) Vinnie Colaiuta: Drums (Zappa-Sting)..yes friends I kid you not..hey they even brought in some musical friends to help out on both instruments and vocals!!

Despite the collected duration time, there is not one filler, all tracks are great...sure some better that others, depending on which brand of the prog/fusion/rock tree you choose!

If you (like me) are broadminded in your musical taste, then this is a killer release and most surely a MUST OWN !!

Alex Cora (new to me..hey it happens..ha..ha) is a brilliant guitar player and obviously a great composer and with that line-up of musical friends it really cant go wrong!

So with the former sentences and praise, I guess you know that this great double album goes straight to my private collection and that with a : Highly recommended to all of you whom loves great music!!

Purposeful....most certainly!!

What are you waiting for? Go get it!!

All bands/artists and all moozik aficionados, if you have not joined Planet Of Prog on their fb page yet you might want to join them here too. They are unbiased, very honest sharing the music from the greats to the indie starting artists and what I love the most about them, there is no negativity (you'll not find any pompous selfrightous know it all full of know better and how sermons on their reviews) no matter who you are, all their reviews the bands are treated with utmost dignity even if the review is not most favorable, that review will be honest, not pompous and most in awe respectful of the artist's efforts. I love them, love this site. Join if you want to,I like them a lot!
