Various periods of progmusic´s timeline over the years have changed as to which country delivered most new bands/talents. Let me just mention (not chronological though) at a time Italian & German prog were very much in the front seat, then some US and UK returned with a fine vengeance, the Netherlands came strong, then Sweden totally ruled the prog circuits and to some extend Norway and Finland !! Now it seems Norway are coming back strong as ever!! One of the finest mediators of the prog from this country must be: Apollon Records !! These guys know when they have hit gold!!

Let me start my praise with one of their signed bands: OAK..had never heard of them, they are brilliant and they deliver, what I personally love in prog...beautiful, lush and powerful sequences blended the most excellent way! The most beautiful tunes delivered so fine..that I honestly had to press the repeat button several times !! Not only that..they magically blend the beauty with the beast...musically!! What a band..what an album.. they deserve to be huge!! Every tune on this album is to die for.....to me it is one of the albums of the year!! Whats that?! It was released in 2016 ???!!! Shame on you ..proggers !! Well spank me..I dont give a sh.. !! This is still a contender for best prog album of the year 2016 and 2017.

The tunes herein often has that perfect art-rock feel that both early Porcupine Tree and original Mew used to master and deliver !! This is an album that have returned to frequently and it really is a thing of beauty !! A must hear, friends!! So..what are you waiting for ?!

All bands/artists and all moozik aficionados, if you have not joined Planet Of Prog on their fb page yet you might want to join them here too. They are unbiased, very honest sharing the music from the greats to the indie starting artists and what I love the most about them, there is no negativity (you'll not find any pompous selfrightous know it all full of know better and how sermons on their reviews) no matter who you are, all their reviews the bands are treated with utmost dignity even if the review is not most favorable, that review will be honest, not pompous and most in awe respectful of the artist's efforts. I love them, love this site. Join if you want to,I like them a lot!
